Service/ LLL Luminance measurements
Certified by DNV and Lloyd's Register
Lindbergs Skyltar AB is since 2009 certified by DNV and from 21 of januari 2014 by Lloyd's Register to conduct Lux and Luminance measurements according to IMO Res. A.752 (18) of LLL systems installed onboard ships.
When the control measurement is completed, we leave a report in protocol form, signed by a DNV or Lloyd's Register approved operator. The protocol describes in detail the measured values of the system. If everything is alright this will be used as the basis for approval of the inspection authority. If we find parts that can't meet the measurement levels it is easily fixed by using our Lexidor concept.
International standards are being used to specify levels of luminance of LLL systems for approval and control purposes. According to existing regulations all PL and EP LLL systems, in order to be approved by classifications societies and/ or administrations, luminance testing must be carried out:
- At new installations of LLL
- Of complete LLL-system every 5 year
Test the LLL-system on one deck in each main vertical zone at least once a year. When substantial changes are made to:
- Lightning system
- Ceiling decorations
